wy’east face above mt. hood meadows in springtime is my favorite for ease of access, mellow pucker factor, awesome corn snow, great fall line, and easy climbing.

start climbing at 6, ride at 10, bbq and beers at trillium lake by noon!

i already have the book, i got it as a secret santa present… (dont put me in contest) but i still wanna share. its snowing heavily right now but im dreaming of early summer corn…

Wy’east face, mellow pucker factor? Definitely a relative term from a guy who’s ridden Cooper Spur from the top.

    Nice pic, Chris

Lots of OR lines on the ‘Hitlist’, but three areas that I plan to get soon are SW bowl of Thielsen, SW ridge of Jefferson, and S face of NSis.

    163W Jones Solution/Phantom Alphas/Dynafit TLT5s

Right out of Mt. Hood Meadows, there’ a route that finds you well into the trees, of lower north east side of Mt. Hood proper… B-U-tiful…

+1 to routes in the Wallowas – never been, but really want to go.

Haven’t done a ton of riding yet but I think the best riding so far has been the south side of the South Sister.

The Wallowas is definitely on my Oregon splitboard bucket list. The Steens is another area I want to hit up as well. I was only able to find a few trip report and vids on this area.

nwboarder82 – I’m hoping to get to the east side of the Steens this spring. I was going to do it last year but never could get a weather window. In a good snow year, there are turns to be had in the Pueblos as well. Let me know if you’d be interested….

Also, seems there’s a number of folks interested in the Wallowas……we should get a group of splitters together next year for a hut trip!

Nice – I’m in if the weather cooperates. I’ve been eyeing a line on the east side about a mile south of Kiger Gorge that I know will go. Lots of possibilities down there…

    So many…

I’ll throw in Diamond Peak via the Bear Creek drainage (along with phreadi). And Tumalo also for the ease of access and when Bach is socked in.

Definitely interested in a Wallowas trip next year with other splitters! Headed to Three Sisters yurts in late April for a second visit. Cheers.

Allrighty splitters, our friends at Mountaineers Books have picked three winners for us using random.org. The facebook portion of this contest didn’t really go as planned so we decided to just pick an extra winner for the entries is this thread.

    And the Winners are…..

Silver – who wants to get Mt Scott
phreadi – who wants to splitboard Diamond Peak
bigdood – who wants to check out the Wallowas

Congrats guys! And special thanks to Mountaineers Books for supplying the books for the contest!

Winners please send me a PM with your address.

Check out http://mountaineersbooks.org for more great books!
