So bad Id rather travel via airline than make the 7 hour one way trip. Shastas looking good but does its best weather wise to freeze up when Im open to the 12 hour one way drive So, if you were going to fly somewhere in the lower 48 and west of the Mississippi Where? And specifically where Like, where in Colorado? Whistler would work too February 18, 2015 at 9:18 am #780540 Zude 367 Posts Go to Jackson Hole Snow Totals by Resort Jackson Hole, WY 278 Alta, UT 205 Park City, UT 108 Vail, CO 200 Breckenridge, CO 226 Telluride, CO 140 Steamboat, CO 176 Whistler, BC 185 Snow Report Report updated 2/18/2015 9:00 AM UPPER MOUNTAIN MID MOUNTAIN SINCE LIFTS CLOSED 0” 0” SINCE 6AM 0” 24 HRS 0” 0” 48 HRS 0” 0” SEASON TOTAL 278” 241” SNOW DEPTH 86” 74” February 18, 2015 at 9:26 am #780542 SouthParkSplitNek 88 Posts well, it hasn’t been too bad here in CO! Looks like a pattern change could be in the works as well, finger crossed!! I tour and travel all over the state chasing the white wave. Most places have a decent base but not much overall fresh just some specific spots. Im in fairplay right in the center of the state at 10,000′. I was just down in the northen san juan / silverton area. Pretty thin and crazy warm but great stability for feb 🙂 The northern mtns around flattenridge (breck) seem to have almost the most snow this season. Found a fresh 14″ on a ne @ treeline yesterday. Monarch has been doing pretty well this yr. wolfies, cb, roaring fork valley not so good 🙁 All we need is some good storm activity and it will be on again! Just beware or our sweet CO persistant layers/ slabs when it does as the dragon will be awakening… But hard to beat the different zones here in co for snow. The conditions vary greatly from north to south, but we have many spots to choose from! February 18, 2015 at 11:50 am #780544 TEX 2486 Posts Been to Jackson a lot in the last ten years. Love it, but want something different. Same with Utah February 19, 2015 at 9:29 am #780569 davidr 102 Posts Monarch CO area does have a lot of snow. Did Steamboat, Jackson, Targhee, Big Sky, SLC last week. Jackson had the most coverage with Steamboat close. I’d say fly to Montrose and explore the Wolf Creek, Silverton, Monarch areas February 21, 2015 at 8:43 am #780610 imitationfunk 85 Posts I always liked flying into Albuquerque and driving up to Wolf Creek. Stop off in Santa Fe for a night and some mexican food. But Tex, if you want to fly somewhere, i’m up for a surf trip! February 21, 2015 at 9:58 am #780611 TEX 2486 Posts I been thinking about that too. I’d love to hit up some warm reef that’s not crowded. Four to six feet. Ummmmm February 21, 2015 at 3:14 pm #780612 Taylor 791 Posts Wolf is going to go very very big in the next 48 hrs. ABQ -> chile verde -> pow -> hot spring -> pow -> chile verde -> hot spring -> pow (let that CD skip for a while)… Do it. @sun_rocket February 21, 2015 at 3:55 pm #780613 davidr 102 Posts Just 5-9″ tonight, 16-22″ tomorrow, 7-11″ tomorrow night, 6-10″ Monday, 3-5″ Monday night..
