Forums Bindings Too much boot interference in tour mode? Viewing 3 posts - 1 through 3 (of 3 total) Author Posts December 17, 2015 at 2:09 pm #787272 DHwreckage 10 Posts Hey guys, a little about my setup, i am runing large Karakoram Split30’s and have a 10.5 spark XV. i have my Lrg bindings set up in the smaller of the positions because i get equal toe and heel overhang that way. when the bindings are adjusted to the larger screw holes i get alot of heel overhang. attached is a picture of the bindings in tour mode with a boot in them and the amount of forward movement i get. Can someone let me know if that is not enough forard movement for touring? my only other two options to fix this would be to trim some bot the vibram sole to allow more or get tour risers. let me know what you think. December 17, 2015 at 11:56 pm #787290 BackcountryMedic 3 Posts Hey DH! Looks to me like you’ll have no problem with boot interference, that’s plenty of heel travel for touring. The only thing I see in your picture that you may want to adjust is the heel riser, it appears that when deployed it will be striking your boot a bit further forward than you’d like. Consider mounting it the other direction so that the riser will strike the middle of your heel. Unless, of course, you have them mounted there intentionally, then disregard :o) Hope this was helpful! December 18, 2015 at 8:59 am #787297 DHwreckage 10 Posts thanks for the reply, just wanted to make sure ive seen people getting more heel rise but i think the were mostly hardbooters. and the heel riser hits right in the center of the binding karakoram base so no worries there.
