I’m thinking it should cut fine, any thoughts? March 14, 2011 at 4:22 am #637753 silver 167 Posts Don’t have any experience cutting those cores but have plenty cutting carbon mountain bike bars, seat posts, etc. If it has similar properties you shouldn’t have any issues. The reason is that the carbon fiber is a weave under tension, when you cut them it can alleviate the tension and the board may rebound. The carbon fiber is structural and when certain pressures are changed it may not hold its original shape. Understand? I cut a board with carbon fiber topsheet and it “rebounded”; and the camber tripled! Needless to say it was a waste of a very nice board. YMMV Cheers!
