I recently split my Springbreak Slush Slasher, now I’m looking for proper fitting skins. The specs are 326/286/299 going tip to tail. The widest skin I’ve found is a 145mm. Will that have sufficient enough coverage on the tip and tail? It’s seems like the middle will be fine. Cheers, thanks for any help.

160mm are on the product page., if they have them on hand.

I don’t think Black Diamond makes their split skin (for skis) that was 160mm anymore

145s should work, you can split the back third of the skin and spread them out to the rails if you had to. I’d use strong glue skins like Black Diamond Ascension Nylons or Climbing Skins Direct for that approach

10-4 climbing skins direct has been looking like my best bet without breaking bank on a test fit. I do have a ton of prodeals to scope out thanks. I’ll report what I find! Cheers

I posted a review on them, I dig them. Pros are they are cheap and the glue is super strong, great for several laps on a real cold day. Glue is strong, roll each one independently when touring, they are bulky but don’t need to be in your jacket to re-adhere. Don’t put glue to glue for the first few seasons, it is just too much work separating them. I store them on plastic sheets between tours. Tail clips are not necessary. Waxing or treating with water repellent stuff is advised.

Other skins are lighter and more supple but these allow me to do walk around turns on moderately steep terrain instead of kick turns where 70/30 skins need to kick turn.
