Forums Splitboards Show Me Your Rocker… Viewing 20 posts - 1 through 20 (of 24 total) 1 2 → Author Posts January 18, 2011 at 9:39 pm #574177 WhitePine 503 Posts Hey folks. I’m interested in seeing the rocker on a lot of these new factory splits. If you’ve got anything, Prior, Jones, Mojo, Never Summer, Venture, etc. Split the board in half, put the skis back to back and snap some photos. It seems most of these vendors don’t post photos of the side profile of their boards. I’m particularly interested in seeing the rocker on the usual suspects. IE – Storm, Mojo RX, Solution, etc. But don’t hesitate to represent the little guys too. Also, if you so desire, post a short blurb about the stiffness and/or how damp your ride is. This is interesting. I wasn’t aware the Zephyr has 0 camber between the feet. Is this true or were you compressing the camber with your feet while taking the picture? Is this the same for the whole line of Venture boards? January 31, 2011 at 7:50 pm #634886 FloImSchnee 291 Posts In fact there is slight camber between the feet — therefore I had to compress the halves with my feet to show the rocker. R.C. tech features rocker between the bindings and camber from the bindings to the tips. this first photo showcases the rocker. The board is balanced so that the nose and tail rocker are equalized. what you see here is the nose, the tail looks the same. Here I am pressing the tips together so you can see the camber profile. Would rather ride a Heritage than SL though. February 11, 2011 at 6:02 pm #634900 Zee 136 Posts Bentley, is the rocker on the SL more than on the Summit? I’ve got a Solid SL and a split Summit, and it does appear that the SL has more rocker… The new one looks even more rockered than my SL. I sure love the Summit though, float is incredible!
