I’ve had my eye on a few makers and I’d looked at a couple brands at a local shop, but they were as heavy as my split! Always found myself coming back to the Shark brand. So after following on IG for a couple seasons I decided to go for the Shark Chuna and glad I did. The build quality is exceptional and it’s much lighter than the other brand I checked out. It’s about as close to my Performer size as possible, while having a far more refined design. I’ve only been out on it twice, but I’m hooked! Apart from long approaches its actually quite efficient. No transitions, no extra fiddly parts, No strapping in/out. And despite having to boot pack, going straight up has its advantages. Looking forward to getting some verts to ease the uphill effort. Will it ever replace my splits? Not entirely, but it expands the possibilities and its so fun! Nothing like pulling to side of the road and riding a quick line without fiddling with gear.
