    Here’s the back end.

    I think what I’d like to do is scrounge up another ankle buckle/ratchet from an F1 and use that as the top cuff buckle rather than the Atomic ski boot buckle.

    That was Pontus

    My god, why do people buy $800 boots when this easy little mod exists for dirt cheap boots? Boom, shit’s fo real, cubed F1s ride pretty much like Malamutes in Burners. And they climb better. Kool-aide tastes awesome.

    Dave;

    I :thumpsup: with you about the F1s! I like the cubes you did. For me the stock F1s and F1 Race tour and ride exceptionally well with Masterfit Eliminator Tongue.

    The placement of the forward lean (lever) on the outside of these boot (Scarpa F1 and Alien) allows for an easier and less obtrusive modification of the boot, compared to hacking the forward lean inside the boot (such as TLTs). Such as

    I think this was SB burton modification. Nice work on the cube. Note I am not dissing the TLT or mods for TLT. I just think that is is easier to make a mod on the outside (or no mods with the right boot), where I can change the boot back to stock and be able to resell the boot.

    With the low cost of these boots (F1s on closeout), it is a lot easier to consider getting a Phantoms bindings or at least the Spark Dyno DH bindings.
