Hadn’t been down to the eastside this summer, so decided to do a scramble up the northeast ridge of Bear Cr. Spire. My legs weren’t use to talus hopping and there was a lot of it!

    Ruby wall:

Mt Dade. The cat ears couloir pretty melted out. A few more months!:

    Start of NE ridge:

    Mt Humphreys:

Getting into the 4th class (or harder if you don’t watch where you’re going)

    Feather peak:

Not sure what mtn this is but has a very nice line off the top:

    Darwin, Goethe cirque, Goddard:

I forgot the hardest moves on the climb where getting off the peak. Had to downclimb some 5.5 cracks. Being out of practice I got scared!

    Yikes! I would too….
This is epic…have you ridden it? Looks like a fair amount of cross country (even w/ summertime road access).

Yeah, a few years back. It’s the same access no matter what time of year. Easiest approach is from end of road in Pine Cr canyon.

This TR makes me realize how much I miss Sierra granite and the terrain in general. Thanks for posting it up!
