    Sponsors:

Venture (donated a new Storm splitboard to raffle off, and a fleet of demo boards for us all to try out, thanks Lisa!)
Arbor (donated a new Abacus splitboard to raffle off, and a fleet of demo boards for us all to try out, thanks John!)
Sparks (donating a pair of bindings for raffle!)
Voile (donated a big box of goodies to raffle off, including skins, shovels, probe, crampons, and a DIY kit)
Jones (donating a Jones pack and sending demo boards)
    Protect Our Winters
    Next Adventure
    US Outdoor

Venture, Arbor and Jones will be providing a fleet of demo boards, so anyone can try out a board for free. The Ventures and Arbors will come with Sparks, hardware and skins, so you just need to show up in your boots, set your stance up and ride sick lines on Hood all weekend!

Working on getting demos from other brands too. Jones has already committed boards for demo.

NWAC has committed to sending someone to give a conditions overview in person, thanks guys! We will be raffling off tons of swag from our sponsors and all the proceeds will go to NWAC. Those guys keep us alive all winter so let’s help em out.

Ghetto website is a must for something like this… http://oregonsplitfest.com/

Thanks to everyone who made last year’s so baddass, and here’s to an even better event this year! Big ups to Next Adventure and US Outdoor for helping keep the stoke alive for the Portland split community!

Nice! Anyone crossing over the summit of Hood from Tilley Jane can just ride down to Govy…

Maybe we can pull the keg sled up the Alpine Trail to Timberline to keep the tradition alive?

Speaking of, I need to get that back soon. Will give you a call.

Whoa, the news just keeps getting better and better. Venture will be in the house, and has just committed a demo fleet of boards. So anyone who has been jonesing (heh heh) to check out the best boards on the planet will get to demo them for free at the event.

Thanks Lisa, Klem and Jerome! You guys are awesome.

I’d definitely make the trip down from WA for this, but I’ll actually be at Silverton for my annual bro trip. I’d love to do some touring around Hood. I guess I’ll have to settle for the Baker splitfeast instead, haha.

Side note Jefe, I think I sold an old AK Hover jacket to you a few years ago up here in the Seattle area. Am I thinking of e right Jefe?

Baker Splitfest is awesome, I had tons of fun last year. Defintely going again this year.

Nope, that wasn’t me… I am from Seattle tho, that’s funny there is another Jefe there.

Why the change in venue? Tilly Jane is a unique backcountry experience where Welches is a bit of a shitshow.

Good question Stuka — easy answer. I didn’t want to drag a keg up that hill again. 😆 Just kidding…

TJ’s rad, but you can only have 20 people there. Assuming most of last year’s crew wants to come again, we’d have very limited attendence, and I didn’t want to be turning people away.

You know I’m always down for a TJ trip and touring on the north side of Hood, hit me up!

So, what’s the deal with lodging? Is this place cool with people car-camping in the parking lot or is it pretty much OFP??

For sure. We can’t advertise it loud since they don’t have a permit, but yeah I checked with them and car camping is no problem as long as we keep it cool. Also there is woods behind the bar where you can pitch a tent if that’s your thing…

The format will be very similar to Baker splitfest.

Intrigued, mostly cause I’d really like to try those spark bindings. Well and cause I went last year too… keg up Alpine would be pretty easy till you hit timberline boundary, pretty straight forward no killer traverses. Get a smaller keg, I read the last one wasn’t even finished off!

Welches is kind of a bummer, I sorta enjoyed the exclusiveness of being stuck on the mountain with 20+ crazies. Understandable though and really whole mountain a day trip from there, definitely plan to check in on you guys. We shall see how long that 2nd weekend timeline holds up this time.

Hah, agreed. Worry not, venue in Welches fell through. Got way better venue up on the mountain in the works. You guys will be stoked. I don’t want to announce it until the checks are sent in and everything is locked down and confirmed. Stay tuned…

Got the giveaway board from Venture. It’s a Storm 161, looks soooooooo sick. Thanks mucho Lisa, Klem and Jerome! You guys are the best.

Who wants a new Storm? Could be yours, for the price of a raffle ticket. Only 3 bones each, or 4 for $10.

Remember, all raffle proceeds are donated to NWAC, who help keep our hungover asses ALIVE all winter.

Also, we’ll be raffling off a set of Sparks (custom one off NWAC logoed!!!!), a Jones pack, a huge box of goodies from Voile, and lots of softgoods donated by the homies at US Outdoor and Next Adventure.

Just a few weeks away now, cy’all at Charlies on Friday night March 8!

For those who are not renting cabins, I’m thinking car camp city in the govy rest area up the street from charlie’s. Could be cool with some snow caves too… :doobie:
