Forums Splitboards Lib Tech vs Arbor – Float and Stability Viewing 2 posts - 1 through 2 (of 2 total) Author Posts September 7, 2013 at 8:49 pm #578628 bcall8 125 Posts I own a very gently used Arbor Abacus 164. Its very pretty and obviously makes me feel one with nature. BUT, I have been riding Lib and GNU boards for the last 5 years and prefer the rocker profile that they use compared to the Arbor rocker profile. So…. My local shop has a T.Rice split 161.5 on clearance ( they do not have a 164.5) The specs on the 2 boards are a little different (Lib iswider, feels a little stiffer, shorter). What do people think? Will I be giving up float and stability going from a 164 Abacus to a 161.5 T. Rice? Thanks for your thoughts. I figure if he has much less float, he can’t be going that much faster in pow right? He’s also heavier than me. Stability is not really a problem with the T.rice, it’s fine at high speed too. But really I think you want a 164. http://flatlandsplitfest.com/ Viewing 2 posts - 1 through 2 (of 2 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
