sound like this is turning into a roll call thread. 🙂

anyway, this thread SHOULD be in the CA conditions forum but then it probably wouldn’t get half the posts. :headbang:

    ROLE CALL BITCHEZ!!!

I’m leaving Saturday, and will be up there through the 30th. Maybe the 1st depending on how good it is and when my wife threatens to divorce me if I don’t come home. Hope I can ride with some of you.

After much research, experimentation and consideration, I have decided adulthood is not for me. Thank you for the opportunity.

I was stoked to see some footage, but then realized that was my video after I clicked…haha… That was some nice snow that day and took those shots at the end of the day. Place was empty aswell.

Snow levels are very high ….maybe 9k. Think late May and you got the picture. However, the buttermilks looked pretty good and I think you could drive pretty far up the road. Wahoo Gullies? Emerson?

Heard a rumor 120 was cleared from the East to the pass. Haven’t had time to dig around to verify though…

I was hoping to get to the Negatives. Is Yost Meadow all melted out? Mt Dana? Mt Morrison? Ugh what happened to the snow?

As Tex said, the Southern Sierras look like May if not June. Even at 9k its super thin. Spent last weekend at the Crest, it looked way more like winter there than anywhere else with easy access that we scoped.

My buddy made a little edit from the footy.

No, yost meadow has snow and everything above it. As of yesterday (I have sources 😉 ) But you better go quick if you want any chance of riding it out to the highway.

A buddy just told me that the neve penitentes are growing in the Whitney high country and conditions were thin out there (but they had fun).
