Sweet stuff! Thanks for posting! Can’t believe he still has that swallowtail.

Turn off the porch light next time too Brett. 😉

Best part of the whole movie :thatrocks: Forrest’s section was pretty good too, but was pandering to tele guys/gals saying we ain’t bad peoples… I would have liked to see more splitboarding in general – or at least more sections with tele, AT and split together like you would normally see on a day out skiing/riding. I thought the Idaho section tried to do that but fell short.

Thank you for hacksawing your board down the middle. And thank you everyone in between for making the tech viable. Looks like it’s finally catching on…

Sick Video! Brett’s a dude that truly get’s it, all soul, smart as hell, always creating and modifying. He’ll be digging pits and breaking trail all day and you’ll still struggle to keep pace. Right on Kowboy.

    Thanks for sharing.

Really stoked to see this. I’ve always wanted to know more about Cowboy for as long as I’ve been splitting. This will be the first PW movie that I’ve wanted to see.

And I’m glad to see a film production dedicate a segment to a personal biography. (Not that I see much snow porn for a body of experience.) For the same reason, I’m glad to see Kyle Miller getting some screen time. And I’m sure there are alot of peeps out there that deserve some spotlight as well.

Just got back from the PW flick tonight and was impressed with Cowboy’s segment and like the movie in general. Thanks Brett for what you’ve done for our sport! As I reflect back on splitting and the big role it plays in my life, I know we wouldn’t be at the same place we are today without people like Brett :thatrocks:

Was SO stoked when this segment came up on the big screen a couple weeks ago when I went and checked out the newest from Powderwhores. I honestly did not know the history behind the splitboard so this was a pretty freaking cool thing to see.

I love when he said, “out of necessity comes invention [or innovation]!”

Someone told me I should check out this thread. Thanks for the stoke boys.

Funny how all of a sudden I’m a popular character. I’ve been fielding a bunch of interviews with different publications lately. It’s taken a long time for people to really get tuned into the whole splitboard thing. It’s been almost 20 years since my first prototypes.

Well, I just picked up a new swallowtail. My first new board since the 195 was built (10 years?). I’m amped up to get out on it tomorrow. Big float is perfect for our unsupportable pile of facets we call a snowpack right now and there’s nothing like a lively board with a fresh tune.

Heading down to Voile this week to start work on some new shit. The next hardware upgrade is going to be something totally different. I got an idea of what I want. Whether others will want it is unknown. However, that’s what I thought about the original concept also.

Hubris is handy when patting oneself on the back. I’d hope credit is given where it’s due.
As for packing a big stick, crampons may be helpful for that unsupportable . 😀
