    Thanks, Chris. As you know, that was an epic storm.

    No mtnrider, I haven’t stepped up shit. The photo just proves that any rider can be a good still model, real riders prove it on film. 4 feet of POW help too.

    Personally, I think this photo of PJ (also by Grant Barta) on that same day is better:

    as well as Seth Lightcap’s photo of BCRider the next day:

    Definitely cool though.

    He absolutely kills it. For the newer splitters folks-as far as backcountry photography goes Grant is right up there with the best of them. You Sierra folks have seen many of his images in Backcountry Skiing California’s High Sierra by John Moynier and Backcountry Snowboarding and Skiing in the Northern Sierra by George Hurchella, as well as Lou Dawson’s Wild Snow and many many shots in Couloir Magazine.
