I’ve seen the short review in Backcountry, but otherwise I’m having a hard time finding any feedback reviews for this boot.

I’m mostly wondering if they’re stiff enough for semi auto crampons on steep snow, easy ice…

    Any beta out there?

I ordered a pair and sent them back. They are very comfy but I didn’t think they were stiff enough out of the box. I compared them to my season old Ions and they felt softer. I really liked the boot but thought that they wouldn’t hold up. Felt like a supportive freestyle snowboard boot. I ended up keeping the jones 32 MTB boot which was stiffer. In my opinion the tourist is a great soft snow touring boot. That being said I do not have experience with crampons so maybe my thoughts are off base.

That was my sneaking suspicion that they were too soft.

    Thanks for the info.
