So although we haven’t been able to get up high around here, there has been no shortage of neck deep days with faceshots for all. Videos are edited by myself, photos by Lee Lau and Sharon Bader (http://www.sharonandlee.net) March 6 – Steep Creek on the duffey lake highway: The snowpack in the duffey is the deepest I’ve ever seen, and it keeps snowing fully down to valley floor with blower pow so we just skied 800m tree run shots all day. Story: http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/steep-creek-2/ Video: [vimeo:2cbf1tbp]http://www.vimeo.com/20732579[/vimeo:2cbf1tbp] March 11 – whistler slackcountry (musical bumps): The day before we skied inbounds because it puked 50cm on the hill and just kept coming down. Over a meter new on lee slopes in the backcountry the next day, so there was no shortage of pillow lines and faceshots. Lee getting deep: My turn: The money shot: Story: http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/whistler-slackcountry-flute-oboe-and-singing-pass/ Video: [vimeo:2cbf1tbp]http://www.vimeo.com/20944675[/vimeo:2cbf1tbp] March 12 – Spot S in the duffey lake highway: More snow coming in so we opted for pillows and trees again. We triggered a few size 1 slides in storm snow at treeline so it was a good choice to stay low. Also the snow didn’t suck. play safe kids: Lee in a pillow fight: Stu and sharon found some snow too… Story: http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/duffy-joffre-shoulder-pow/ Video, including a valuable lesson on what not to do trying to get good POV footage: [vimeo:2cbf1tbp]http://www.vimeo.com/20971138[/vimeo:2cbf1tbp] Some random inbounds riding with some good buddies: [vimeo:2cbf1tbp]http://www.vimeo.com/20657953[/vimeo:2cbf1tbp] more to come tonight…I can’t keep up with editing… March 15, 2011 at 9:51 pm #637868 libtechsplit 198 Posts ha looks fine out there right now. two things: 1- that was the first pov to pov crash ive ever seen and it was pretty damn funny (except for the slashed leg), and 2 – i love that Clutch album. March 16, 2011 at 2:29 pm #637869 wilkez 176 Posts All clutch albums rock! They make especially good tunes for snowboard videos I find. You can’t really find a song on their albums that doesn’t make me want to go riding.
