It’s going to be an interesting day when a board mfg. and a binding Co. decide to think outside the box and develop something that doesn’t follow the old Voile hole patterns. I would think this would open up an insane amount of possibilities but I’m stupid so what do I know.

Why would anyone step away from the hole pattern? Yeah, the pucks suck, but the hole pattern is pretty basic. Sure, channels are an option. But it would take a board company that also makes bindings to change the system and then they would be sacrificing sales because no one else’s bindings would work with their system.

What improvements do you think could be made to the current hole pattern that almost every splitboard uses?

I think we all know what happened with the original Burton splitboard interface.
