We had great vis and relatively stable avie conditions. Towards the end though, as temps warmed, ice fall was making conditions unstable. That’s what caused the avie in the clip. In fact, a skin track originally went through the slide path. Fortunately, the skiers who were en route, stopped for whatever reason and didn’t get caught.

re: splitboard and how applicable a tool, I would agree w/ previous reports that randonee is more efficient … especially on the glacieted terrain. And yet, we found great satisfaction riding the route despite the fact that when traversing we couldn’t feel our shins at times. 😀
