I am using Petzl Lynx all-round. I had to cut some rubber from heels side and that is. In shop I have tried also various models from grivel but lynx was fitting better. I was also doing some beginner ice-climbing and didn’t had any issues.

I have them turned down. If I deploy snowpulse Airbag poles can create a hole in it. My axes are also attached with spike protectors.

    Thanks for straight answer! 😀
Now I only have to decide to go for 167 or 162. I saw that David Capozzi is riding 162, that gave me now second tought.
But for that I have still some time and anyway 167 is currently not available.

    Thanks!

    Hi Everyone,

I read through complete topic (it took me two days 🙂 ).
I am planning to buy factory built splitboard for next season and I can´t decide what to buy. My budget allows only one split to do it all.
I am split between Furberg ?167?, Jones solution carbon 162W and Jones ultracraft 156.
My concern is regarding hard steep couloirs. Has Furberg enough edge grip for this kind of terrain?
I really like what I read about Furberg, especially how playfull is in turns, and offcourse price is better for family budget 😉 .

I will ride mostly in Slovenian alps, so powder is 30% and hard pack is over 50% and rest is split between spring wet and crust.

It’s crazy also in Slovenia. Avalanche report is 5/5, I don’t remember last time that avalanche danger was 5.
In slovenia we have additional problems now also with ice: over 10% of country is out of electricity due to broken electrical pillars or broken wire.

+1 for “Euro-splitfest” from Slovenia :headbang:

In Slovenia we usually go to Eastern Alps. We have also one nice advantage for small country: We can do before noon tours in June (this year maybe even in July will be possible) and afternoon swimming in Adriatic. 😉

    Hi,

I mounted 3 clips. Two clips in front and one rear (still using plastic locks for front and end tip).
My bindings were mounted a bit more to the back so there was long surface and I decided to use 2 clips. Before the second clip mount halves were like scissors between bindings and clip.

Last year I was deciding between ABS and Snowpulse. At the end I bought Snowpulse 45. I would sure like to have vario fetaure fro different volumes, but at the end neck and head protection and simple mechanic release made the decision. I also like that if in some case you are covered over head with snow, snowpulse start to release 150 L of air around your head.
About punctures in baloons, I think that you must take care of this delicate equipment (also goes for ABS). The material for baloons at Snowpulse are really compact (in comparison to ABS from friend is thicker).
The variable volume problem I solve with compression straps. It doesn’t look clean and nice as ABS but it is effective.

    Hello.

I found on youtube exercises that combine most of above. Also you dont need any expensive fitness equipment:
Check on youtube for programs: hot blooded warmup (5 minutes warmup routine), best 20 minute cardio workout part 1-5 (it uses tabata intervals) and intense 40 minute workout part 1-6.
Since you are a lady, try to overlook the demonstrator of exercises, its more for the guys. 😉

    Hello!

Here is how you can cary splitboard:

It holds good, I am only considering some reinforcement where snowboard edge is in contact with straps.
