Thanks for the kind words from all. It definitely helps through this process. I am so fortunate to have been able to call Steve my friend. I am going to miss him soooo much. I just keep wondering where Steve would want us to go from here?

Right now, I am struggling to process this. Days spent with Steve were always amazing. I know Steve and Chris would want us to never forget those amazing moments in the mountains and keep riding. For me, I always want to remember Steve on those amazing trips, laughter, and love of the mountains. I am going to miss him tremendously. He was the most solid partner I have ever ridden with. Thank you Steve. “Live to Ski.”

Today my heart has been broken. I just rode GTNP with Steve a couple of weeks ago and I cannot believe the news today. Days spent with Steve on Gannett Peak, Ramshorn/6 mile, pow shots in the Park taught me how amazing Steve really is. Fuck, I am going to miss him!

Obviously not riding enough. Gearing up for guiding season and getting rowdy on the river. Twisted in Wyo!

Conditions definitely changing. I will never complain about surfing some powder this weekend in the trees. Small groups will be the key!

Remember to bring your sleeping bags, pads, pillows as not everyone will get a bed (more than enough room with the loft! Towels too and showers are limited. Might be a good idea to bring extra water as the pump sometimes acts up and takes a while to re-fill the well.

Welcome to Wyoming, big mountains, and some Cowboy Pow! Playin’ it safe this weekend will be essential! Check the avi conditions at: http://www.jhavalanche.org/advisories.php

My name is Matt Elmore, I’m from Casper. I’ve lived here my whole life. I splitboard. It would be cool to get out with another boarder sometime. I’ll let you know when I head up that direction.

Matt, know Aaron Bannon from Casper? I grew up in Cheyenne/Dubois. Cool that you come over from Casper! That is some dedication. Let’s go shred. I fish Casper a shit load and have family there as well. Heard Hogadon has a little fresh last week as well. Nothing wrong with that. Wish we had that resort in Lander!

That, right there, is what IT is ALL about. Great photos, splitting, and a father and son outing. I still have a few years, but I can hardly wait to get mine into the great wide thing we call backcountry. Thanks for sharing Pops!

Good to see some TP happening, but who are you and where do you live? Do you splitboard? Let’s hook up sometime.

I’m in…this is a BIG reason for getting out…I want to travel and ride new lines. Do it to it!

There are many options in the Tetons and it is not all that far depending what you are looking for. You cannot go wrong between the pass and the park. All of the secrets are given up Tom Turiano’s book that I referenced in the first page. Soooooo many options. You cannot come to Wyoming and not ride in the Tetons. Even if it means hitting the resort in nip deep conditions.

Togwotee was variable to very nice this weekend. Keep posted for a preview.

samH-Pieps wants to use one of your photos from last year as a plug for ScrubFest on their facebook page. Is this ok?

You don’t have to have those tools at all. There are more than plenty of 800-5000 vertical foot shots that don’t require ax or poons. Personally, I want to ride steep and rowdy lines if conditions permit. Those lines do require ax and poons. I plan on riding a day with Tex and FullersOh2 and the line we are planning usually has ice partway through it.

We will give you plenty of options for mellow terrain, medium terrain, hard terrain, and fuggin’ rowdy terrain. Go as big or little as you would like. There are options for all, but it is up to you as you are responsible for your ability and yourself. Some people just come to drink beer….wait, no they don’t.

Should I bring the projector and computer again for people to watch trip reports or movies? Anyone have movies they would like to bring?

    getting stoked for this.

for you guys that have been before, conditions permitting of course is any of the bigger teton stuff on the agenda? more specifically should i bring ice ax, crampons, rappel gear etc..?

Don’t leave home without it. There are couloirs in them thar hills! Keep posted for a Scrub Conditions trip report! You don’t need rap gear, but bring the ax and poons. It is up to you what you want to ride! Check out Turiano’s book…all the beta you need. I definitely have my eye on a few lines this year.

Probably Jackson airport, and rent a car. There may be some Scrubs coming from the Hole you can catch a ride from.

Yup Flow…you read right. We would love to have you up this way for the last event. Lucky Number 7. The A-Frame is lightyears better than the old days. It really doesn’t get much better. Warm beds, cool digs, and a great place. Much better than TMLodge.

Sweet article wyo. Is that you behind the lense? In front of the lense?

Too bad he credited splitboardING.com. Oh well–those that should know, know where it’s roots where cultivated.

Thanks for all hard work over the years. You’ve brought a lot of stoke to people from all over NA.

I noticed that too Eco. I am in front of the lens for a change. Thanks for the compliments! How is your March trip panning out? Hmmm…maybe we should hit the ranch instead of the trailer? Didn’t think of that. We could fit a posse.

They are making this old hardbooter not think twice about switching to them! So stoked to be on the Blazes and LTs this season. Giddy up.
