I have split 30’s on a Venture Storm. I have none of the problems you describe. There is a bit of a technique to set them up right. Did you contact Karakoram? They are very helpful and responsive.

Chainsaw haha. Glad you got it off without another trip to the hospital. For any future casts. I bought this during a home remodeling project and it is the best tool I have ever bought.

It’s going to be an interesting day when a board mfg. and a binding Co. decide to think outside the box and develop something that doesn’t follow the old Voile hole patterns. I would think this would open up an insane amount of possibilities but I’m stupid so what do I know.

    yes this

better pics of the K heel risers/lockdown please

?? will that work with current split30 frames??

I have word from Bryce that they will work with the split30 platform. Not sure about the lock down function though

    I don’t get this
What’s going on with the crampon going into that hole and does it lock onto the climbing wires?? Why would you use it with the crampon attached? And it looks sorta weak imo. I’m guessing this just mounted on some sort of display platform which is why it’s confusing me.

I believe it is just shown that way for display purposes but you wouldn’t use the heel lock with the wires or the crampon. When the base plate sits flat on the ski the tabs twist to engage the rails that slide into the pucks

I like the look of the heel risers with the wider support and hopefully they are less prone to collapsing. I wonder if it will work with the split 30’s

How many resort days will you get in this season? I say get the split. You wont wear it out this year. Pick up a beater deck next year

Has anybody used an automotive wax on a standard topsheet with any success?
