I would be interested to know if this boot is soft enough to use without being modified.

I bet you could park in a corner of the lot for the Clair Tappaan Lodge and no one would bother you. It seems more likely you would get booted from the SB parking lot

Great looking board and it ticks all of the boxes. I would plunk down cash tomorrow if they made a size to accommodate my size 13’s. Chimera show some love to the big footed 🙂

I wonder what shape the black magic will be patterened after? The Odin? Hopefully it will be significantly lighter and not just carbon for stiffness.

The grip is glued. There was a pin in it besides the pin that holds the wrist strap, but that was to attach the string that stops the top section from dropping out of the handle section. I am pretty sure you would destroy the grip trying to take it off.

I was actually thinking of the problem yesterday. I like many are considering a move to fitwells. The problem is my 13 street shoe size. I do have a board with a 27 waist but I was wondering if anybody had size 13 fitwell experience. Thanks

Keep your phone switched off IMO unless you need to use it. Having a full battery could save your life.
Buy a gps unit if you want gps

I think if you need to plan your whole route with gps or doing a multi day traverse you should get a gps. If you just need a couple waypoints to get you back to your car below the treeline a phone could be very handy. I bring a separate battery (mophie) to make sure I don’t get caught out of juice.
