• I just received the Neversummer SL split with the voile universal mounting kit, I already have a pair of spark burners. Previously I have had the sparks on a jones solution, now I can not get the pucks to align on the new board.
The alignment problem can be somewhat resolved by swopping the heel and toe sides but that then does not allow for my…[Read more]

  • Hope you have better luck dealing with prior than I did, have been mailing prior for more than two weeks about their website that didn’t work when I tried to buy the amf, I still haven’t received any response!

I am now ordering another Neversummer instead.

Both my wife’s board and mine both have a very subtle camber between the feet.

I haven’t yet had the base fixed on a stone grinder, not that I have any idea where to get that done anywhere inside 1,000km from where I live either. I usually put my boards in the sauna for a few hours after waxing to allow the wax to soak in, works great!
I had the opportunity recently to test the solution out on some hard icy slopes and I can…[Read more]

While I don’t doubt the helpfullness of beer in any situation, sending a case of beer to the online shop in Italy where I bought the boards from will cost even more than sending the board back!
The base grind is a possibility, I only know of one reliable shop “near” here for that but I don’t know if they can do a stone grind or not, unfortunately…[Read more]

I have been waxing my own gear since the early 80’s when I started skiing, I switched over to snowboarding in 95 and have been taking care of my boards since then, I completly agree that the effort is well worth it.
Still, this is my first splitboard and my first Jones so In the split department I’m a complete novice. I am an absolute fan of…[Read more]

To give my solution every benefit of the doubt, I re-did the wax job with a proper prep and finished with a LF glide suitable for the sudden subtropical temperatures of -6c. Intrestingly, while waxing I noticed that the graphics on the base of the board actualy are on top of the base, when running the scraper or a thumb nail over the graphics you…[Read more]

My solution arrived at a time when we were having quite cold weather, I only had one week before I had to return to work for another week so I wasn’t about to let the weather get in my way. I went out on four days in temperatures between -29 to -34c I applied a good quality wax with a teperature rating suitable for the weather, obviously I didn’t…[Read more]

In Europe the board comes as standard with voile clips. They had used my board in the shop setup as half Karakoram half voile. I think the Karakoram ones are better. So I thought I would keep it. i’ll change voile one next week. That’s if it’s even possible to line the board up.

    Thanks

Thanks for your input, I thought also that the magne traction might make it difficult for a seamless fit.

    Hi Shredgnar

The boards are this years crop with karakorum clips & hooks. The gap is only about 1mm but not having any experience with splits…
