Sidehilling w/ pulk can be challenging. So can going up steep. Steep with switchbacks? Double trouble. I only take the pulk out for gentle to moderate approaches and in those situations it’s brilliant.

I used brown bags, heat, putty knives, chemicals, and lots of elbow grease prepping my g3’s for new glue and I still could have done a better job. By the time I applied the glue, I spaced out for a second and overheated some of it. Next time I’ll use a respirator for both phases and be more mindful w/ the new glue.

Powsurfing and accessing kicker spots further than a few hundred yards out are a couple use cases. They could also be useful for ducking ropes. It seems that the marketing is moving more toward that than claiming flat out that approach skis are better than better than splitboards.

Good work getting out there and getting it. Broken Top’s a big approach and exit but worth it under good conditions which it looks like you got.

Thanks for putting up the quality review. The fish scale concept is something that I’ve wanted on the long approaches around central Oregon. This board is on my short list despite being so ugly. I’m not one to sticker up my boards but with this one will get a full treatment if I get one.

Very nice. Did you get it waterjetted in Bend? Where’d you go and how much $$$? Did you order the Prowder bits online or did you find them here (Bend)?
