Gettin’ high with picks, skins, and sticky rubber.
Most the stuff on there is of NW and AK journeys with christophbenells.

I will be headed to the Wasatch and Silverton for this winter though, with a plan to end up in Alaska again. Anyone interested in going for a skin this winter?

Trad Brad, in a classic Tele skier move forgot his poles.

In true Idaho fashion though, he was more upset about forgetting his trusty bandana.

I’m just glad his crampons stayed on, especially since the strap “didnt fit quite right”.

We dug out a pit for everyone to chill out, but no one else showed up…

I think your guys’ chill corner would have been perfect had the ladies not adapted it to their restroom :nononno:

  • Finally finished editing my photos. Started with 600 photos and cut it down to 30. I know that’s still a lot, but bear with me!

  • ATTN OREGON SPLITFEST ATTENDIES: if anyone has any extra mounting hardware, old skins, or plates, please bring them up to Chris and I so we can make sure we have enough boards for everyone! On top of the Venture demos, we will have boards from Rome, Rossignol, and Roxy, but they didn’t send any hardware or skins. :banghead: So anything that you…[Read more]

  • Yeah the soft tail seems to be the only thing that doesn’t make sense on a board with the XV stamp on it. I guess board sales will get a lot better if they take what everyone likes about the experience and make it in an everyman option. but i thought thats what the krypto was for.

As for the boa system in the summit, this isn’t a new idea.…[Read more]

No new boots??? (besides the overpriced, gucci version of the Spark boot)
I would think there would be something new out there in terms of splitbootaneering….disappointing.

A little bit more on the Deeluxe Summit. Not only is the shell leather, but the heel cup on the inside of the liner is also leather. I think the logic is that…[Read more]

  • I think the smith maze is still the lightest helmet out there, you just sacrifice features such as ventilation and fit adjustment. at WWSRA, I saw a helmet Giro is making for 2013/14 that is rated for climbing and snowboarding without the gaper gap that you would get with the camp pulse. I wish I remembered the name of the model, but it felt…[Read more]

  • oh yeah, and for those of you wanting to know current conditions on hood, I climbed pearly gates on Monday and it was great climbing weather, but all the snow between the hogsback and the groomers on palmer was super wind effected and icy. The face coming off of old chute was good quality snow, but other than that it was pretty shitty. looks like…[Read more]

  • Hey you guys, I’m new to splitboard.com and forums in general, but looking for more people to go splitting/climbing with. I live in SE Portland, usually have Tue/Wed off and have a van for transportation. I try to get out every week, but busted up the ankle so I’m on the couch for now, but holler at me if you have any ideas this winter.
