yes board flexibility is subjetive.
i just want to cut a board stiff enough than it wont suffer delamination during skining.

i just untie the rear boot, step the axe loop (->important) and tie the boot again.
It gets really fixed there.

next weekend i’ll find even less snow, but there is no line with no much snow… only slack surfer! 🙂

i prefer not to hold the axe when is not absolute necesary.
when i reach a safe terrain but i expect to need it later. I use to do this:

I would hold the axe on the red lines, and i would put it on the board on the yellow ones

it seems to have too much glue, i mean a thick layer.
but i’m not an expert, i just did it once with relative good results.

to avoid applying to much glue use coil glue

i carry a 30m rope, a 4mx25mm ribbon and a pair of snaps

useful in case of climb extreme terrain with dangerous fall or needing to do rappel.

i use no harness, i can make a emergency harness with the ribbon, the ribbon is also useful to anchorage to trees stones ice axe etc…

here, despite of the ici slopes, people starts to use splits. i almost know 3 splitters… on a country of 43M – soon we could set up a fest here! 😆

Riding down with the axe in the back is no problem… cos i supousee you wear your helmet 🙂

anyway is easy to make/buy rubber protections for the sharp parts of the axe. i never used rubber and never had a problem

Does this dynafit crampon get fixed to the board? (no rotation)
I can only ride on hard and ici snow …most of the time i must skin with crampons fixed. Voile crampon has better grip than skis crampon (tested with skier-mate) but always on fixed mode.
