Why don’t you Slednecks post some pics of these bad ass rides for us hippies to check out? 😛

how does one go about that? Does the image really need to be uploaded to a web site before posting? come on bc rider, help a newbie out…[/img]

I don’t know how to do it myself but can’t you upload them right here now bcrider?

email your pic and I’ll post it for you.

Looks like that feature has been disabled. The pictures I had uploaded no longer exist either, at least at the original address.

May as well ask for 2 snow machines Tommy, wouldn’t be safe to venture out alone. 😀

Do you guys think the shot after is any better?

I didn’t like that one as much since the contrast between you vs. the snow is not as good as you vs. the sky.

Also have to agree that simpler is better, would be better to keep the same color theme throughout the ad, and adding text to the snow doesn’t work with the grey/orange. Would have to use darker colors like the 2nd one below.

Steeleman, what is the name of the font that is used for the logo on the site?

what happened to mmcpheet’s website? He’s got some pretty sweet split images that I could use to make a good ad. And I’m pretty sure he’s cool with using the photos 😉

You can use my images for an ad, just let me know where to look for them. 😀

Came up with a couple simple ones:

yo mmcpheet, Long time no see. 🙂

Yeah, busy summer. Hope the rehab is going well (for the knee that is). I like the shirt idea, good PR. Seems to me you could create a simple splitboard logo to go with the font so you know it relates to snowboarding and not some site for divorcees. Here’s an quick 2-color option (you’ll have to look past the pixelation around the edges).

hows about an organic cotton tee?

I like that idea and those are nice tees, but the Pataguch ones require a min. order of a gross, which I believe is per size per color and are still $4.75-5.75 each before printing.

What source file types will the printer accept? Is it the same process and price whether you go for a logo or text if you provide the file?

ps. anyone know of a good website with cool fonts?

Lots of options at 1001 Free Fonts, just make sure you stay on their site (keep hitting the next button at the bottom of each page), some of the options bounce you to places that will make you pay.

Please post info on where to meet, etc when this is finalized.

I don’t think there is that much of a plan, except to show up when you get there. There are more amenities at saddlebag campground (tables and bathrooms, if open), but a campsite near greenstone lake is closer to the goods. I’m planning to go in on thursday night and camp near greenstone lake, if anyone is interested in hiking at night. We get a new moon on monday, and only a sliver by thursday so bring the headlamps.

    Anyone staying past sunday?

Here’s a map of the area. The yellow line is to the saddlebag campground, the red to a good spot for camping below the greenstone lake chutes, and the green is one of the possible routes to the glacier. I show the distance from the saddlebag road turn off at hwy 120 to greenstone lake at 4 miles and about 700 vert.

This was the view of the area on the 14th of May from the virginia lakes area.

I rather ski the area when it’s smooth as opposed to with a bunch of zig-zag and faceplant marks. 😉 😛

This skier might make an appearance next weekend, but will try to avoid the face plants.

Way to go! Ritter has been on my list of todo’s for a long time now. The south face is visible from my area, but the approach looks long.
Looks like you had better spring conditions than we had up near twin peaks.
