Disappointing…I was hoping to see some pics of a Backcountry Assault Vehicle project truck complete with cooktop and wind resistant meeting area. 😥

Sweet ride. Seen that thing around town several times. I think one of those or a sportsmobile would be my top pick for a touring vehicle The unimog with pop-top camper I saw recently would also work well

Dude, you split up the twins? Nice idea, but shouldn’t they be in some sort of order so we can remember them  ? Maybe by age, since I know everyone is familiar with the Bee Gees rank and file. 😉

    So fun looking shots there…

Stoked :bananas: :bananas: :bananas:. She didn’t come with skis or a board but did come with a set of 3-section poles so what she uses them with will have to be seen.

For all the mothers  . I don’t think I could have done it.

    Less than an hour old.

For everyone who ordered one, I learned yesterday that the books should be arriving at the publisher tomorrow (the 6th), so hopefully they’ll be distributing them this week.

Stoked, I’ll be checking the mailbox with anticipation.

Sorry about the delay, but there isn’t much snow around here anyway.

All the more reason to have a good book to read! 😉

Any chance someone can dig up that old photo from like 5 years ago when he sent it the first time?

    This one from 2005?

Yes, the first significant forecast of the year…and we really need it. Forecasted at 5.5″ of precip through tuesday and hoping most of it falls as rain this time  , as the soil really needs some saturation before we see our winter blanket. :twocents:

After that, La Nada and Madden Julian can:

    Seriously…A collectors edition :nononno:

I understand the reasoning to bookmark the forum but with the Current Updates section and pics that will be updated more frequently, it might be worth your time to either bookmark the homepage too or at least click over there every so often from the forum (homepage link coming soon).

There might be some really cool news, or a gear giveaway, etc or maybe a pic of yourself on the cover! 🙂

How about an RSS feed for updates to other parts of the site?

I like the California TOPO cd setfrom National Geographic. Works well if you are interested only in CA. Allows you to plan routes, get distances, elevation changes, etc and load them to GPS. Also allows you to load GPS data to calc the same stuff after a trip. I still think $100 is a little steep, but I’ve printed hundreds of maps with it and still use it often.

Teh explorer looks like the same info, but with a per map charge and the requirement of being connected to the internet. It’s nice to have a laptop along with the set in a new area.

One thing I don’t like about the set are that I always seem to be looking at areas on the edges of the cd territory (there are 10) and have to keep switching cds.

New website is up. If their boards are anything like their skis, they’ll be awesome with a damp all wood feel that can and will humble you. 8) 😳
