Seen that thing around town several times. I think one of those or a sportsmobile would be my top pick for a touring vehicle The unimog with pop-top camper I saw recently would also work well June 13, 2009 at 8:45 pm #618351 mmcpheet 98 Posts After several hours and many miles hiking across granite…pondskimming mission accomplished. Maybe by age, since I know everyone is familiar with the Bee Gees rank and file. π So fun looking shots there… February 1, 2009 at 9:13 pm #614032 mmcpheet 98 Posts Stoked :bananas: :bananas: :bananas:. August 13, 2008 at 7:47 pm #607071 mmcpheet 98 Posts I like the California TOPO cd setfrom National Geographic. Works well if you are interested only in CA. Allows you to plan routes, get distances, elevation changes, etc and load them to GPS. Also allows you to load GPS data to calc the same stuff after a trip. I still think $100 is a little steep, but I’ve printed hundreds of maps with it and still use it often. Teh explorer looks like the same info, but with a per map charge and the requirement of being connected to the internet. It’s nice to have a laptop along with the set in a new area. One thing I don’t like about the set are that I always seem to be looking at areas on the edges of the cd territory (there are 10) and have to keep switching cds. If their boards are anything like their skis, they’ll be awesome with a damp all wood feel that can and will humble you. 8) π³ Viewing 20 posts - 1 through 20 (of 95 total) 1 2 … 5 →
