I think they were samples for the 2014/2015 product, maybe they’ve changed suppliers or I remember wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time for either. 😀 Jason4 replied to the topic WTB: Green Dynafit TLT Tongues in the forum Splitboard Swap 5 years, 1 month ago Check skimo.co for Dynafit boot parts. http://skimo.co/dynafit-boot-parts Jason4 replied to the topic US source for Colltex skins? in the forum The Gear Room 5 years, 1 month ago Jones skins are Coltex. I can double check when I get home but I’m almost postive. I’ve had good luck getting my glue to come back to life by running a waxing iron over it at a medium heat. My fiance has had good luck with her G3 glue with the same treatment. Her’s were a sticky mess but much better now. Jason4 replied to the topic Touring Brackets too far forward… in the forum DIY and Mods 5 years, 1 month ago I agree, too far back. Even if you are mounted right at the balance point (in touring mode) you should be able to get your tails to drop with a slight flick (that would be the “kick” in “kick turn”). The flick is usually easier with your heel risers up but once you get it you’ll be able to do it flat too. Jason4 replied to the topic Atomic backlands… Thoughts on mods in the forum Boots 5 years, 1 month ago I now have 2 days of touring and a grand total of 1 snowboard run on my Backlands. I was assisting with an avalanche class so the riding was not the focus of the weekend but at least I got out. My first impression is that this will be a good option for a lot of people and a great alternative for the TLT5/6 riders, especially as the TLT7 looks…[Read more] Jason4 replied to the topic Atomic backlands… Thoughts on mods in the forum Boots 5 years, 1 month ago I now have 2 days of touring and a grand total of 1 snowboard run on my Backlands. I had a good conversation with Lucas Debari about exactly that topic in the fall and have been excited to see him more active in the home…[Read more] Jason4 replied to the topic Splitboard Specific AT Boot – What Would Be its Features? in the forum Boots 5 years, 1 month ago Grilamid would be better, take material away to get it softer instead of switching to pebax. Pebax has a reputation for being hard to punch. A modern shell molding strategy would be the best way to tackle the varying demands of such a niche market. Something like what the Atomic Backland is capable of. Medial flex is more important than…[Read more] Jason4 replied to the topic Splitboard Specific AT Boot – What Would Be its Features? in the forum Boots 5 years, 1 month ago Grilamid would be better, take material away to get it softer instead of switching to pebax. I have high hopes for these boots! I went from a Dynafit the One in a 28.5 to the Backland in a 27.5 and my Phantoms are now on the smallest…[Read more] Jason4 replied to the topic TLT7-no bueno para splitboarding? in the forum Boots 5 years, 1 month ago http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php/298296-TLT7 I guess we should know pretty soon since OR is this week. I’ve been hearing rumors of a hardboot that is being developed with splitters in mind but I don’t know more than that. Besides, the Arc’teryx looks promising and I just got my Backlands and they feel soft enough to ride…[Read more] Jason4 replied to the topic Hardbooters – Crampon & Leash Questions in the forum The Gear Room 5 years, 1 month ago It’s really not that many, since it’s split between the two of us it’s a pair of splitmo crampons (the CAMPs), a pair of general mountaineering crampons for summer adventures (the strap ons), and a pair of ice crampons (step ins) for each of us. It’s an added bonus that we can mix and match toes and heels between the three pairs to try semi-autos…[Read more] Jason4 replied to the topic Ranger Bindings in the forum Bindings 5 years, 1 month ago @WhitePine, you might be able to get heel risers only from Phantom, they are the nicest that I’ve used so far. Jason4 replied to the topic Hardbooters – Crampon & Leash Questions in the forum The Gear Room 5 years, 1 month ago My fiance and I have a crampon problem… well, it’s really more of a quiver than a problem, right? We both have CAMP 390s but she’s put a lot more miles on her’s than I have on mine. No problems and they do fit TLT5s well, even in her size (24.5). She climbed a bunch of Cascades volcanoes last May with some of her friends and liked them for…[Read more] Jason4 replied to the topic Dyno or Phantom? in the forum Bindings 5 years, 1 month ago Hey WhitePIne, I answered in the other thread in the Spark section. There might be some hope for him getting the biggest size available and getting the rest with a punch/shell mold. Jason4 replied to the topic TLT7-no bueno para splitboarding? in the forum Boots 5 years, 1 month ago I’m pretty sure that’s a fake. Jason4 replied to the topic Don't hate, I'm just bislidual in the forum DIY and Mods 5 years, 3 months ago Just to avoid any confusion, that’s the Phantom Dynafit-adapter plate on your board, not the Sparks adapter. The Sparks plate is shaped to fit the Radical toe piece well and the Phantom plate is shaped to fit the Superlight toe piece. Load More
