Is anyone else coming down from the Seattle area? I did last year and would like to make the trip again. I’m not really familiar with area but interested in camping or snow caves.

I’ll most likely be headed up solo. Looking for tour partners, especially Friday during the day. I’ve stayed at Snowater on other occasions and was planning on there again.

Looking for a partner this weekend, either Sat or Sunday would work.

I’m looking to get out on the split this Sunday, January 27th. Prefer Stevens, but I-90 or Baker areas would be fine too.

Anyone splitting near Stevens tomorrow? Rode the resort today and weather was amazing. With the game tomorrow all my regular partners are choosing to watch it instead of board. PM me.

Here is the base, pretty much same as 2011/12 except red letters instead of the neon green.

It came with Chinese hooks just like the 2011/12 did. I’ve actually never used anything but K clips.

The new board was waiting for me when I got home from Texas on Friday. Got all my hardware mounted this weekend and now ready for its maiden voyage.

I got mine through tactics too… no tax and free shipping to WA.

No concern with the Karakoram clips. They spoke with one of their larger riders who has used both the chinese hooks and K clips on this board without any issues. This is the first time they’ve seen anything like this and it sounded like they haven’t seen many broken splits in general.

Vince called me back today with amazing news– they are sending me a new 2012/13 split! Words cannot describe how happy I am.

Never Summer is such a stand up company and I will forever be a fan. If you’re considering one of their boards, pull the trigger! You won’t regret it.

Vince called me today and has received the board. I should hear from him again Monday after he gets to talk to Tim.

I already heard from Vince with NS today and the board is on its way to the Denver factory so their engineer can take a look at it to determine if it’s due to a defect in craftmanship/material or rider error. Board should arrive there by Thursday so I’m hoping to hear something Friday or early next week.

I am pretty sure the core is damaged. I’ve always heard good things about people who have had to warranty their board with NS, so I hope that is the case for me.

I bought the board brand new the beginning of March, so it’s barely 2 months old and only has about 10 to 12 rides.

It came with chinese hooks but I actually had replaced them with the Karakoram clips to match my bindings. Both style hooks overlap at the same point, though the chinese hooks actually hang over a lot more than than the tab on the K clips.

I loved my SL Split up until when I found out I cracked the nose today, now I am heartbroken. This is my 4th NS board but the first one I have ever damaged, and I’ve been riding NS boards since the late 90s. I’m definitely looking forward to making this a yearly trip.

I’m coming solo from the Seattle area and have room for 2 people and gear. I was planning on leaving Friday morning, possibly getting there in time to help others with the keg sled. PM me if interested.

I’m interested! My only problem is that I might be deployed to CA in the case of a work strike, but I really won’t know until the last minute. The union contract expires April 7th. That would be the only thing to prevent me from coming.

I do have my own transportation and an extra spot or 2 for anyone else coming from Seattle area.
