LOL 🙂 The orange and the lime. Come to think of it I sort of resemble a blueberry

Checked out BCC this morning. It was gently snowing when I headed out in the dark and it was bitter cold.

Snow at the trailhead was impressive, but lost some luster once I began breaking trail. It appears the bulk of the snow arrived in one wave, so it is bridged…[Read more]

    RE: Shoulder

I’ve had an MRI and met with my ortho yesterday. The good news is there doesn’t appear to be anything that requires surgery. The bad news is I have no explanation for the excruciating pain I wake up with promptly at 2am every morning.

For now I’m being directed to do four to six weeks of PT to include.
    Eccentric, concentric and…[Read more]

Hey Nic, sorry to hear about your shoulder man. I’m still waiting to know exactly whats going to happen to mine. I had the MRI today, but won’t see my ortho until Thursday. I’m trying to be upbeat that it won’t be serious, but its been five months and has only gotten worse. Surgical recovery is said to last about six to nine months!

    I’m glad you…[Read more]

Ooh I’m glad yours was the lesser and I’m stoked you’re making good progress.

There is still a chance I don’t need surgery but its sort of unlikely seeing that the injury occurred in December and has only gotten worse. Near as I can tell it’s a six month recovery if I have it scoped.

I’m pretty stoked on my doctor, as he is an experienced…[Read more]

Hey Corey I hope the surgery went well and that you on your way to a full recovery. I’ve been meaning to reply about your shoulder issue for a while, but lack of internet and not visiting the site much has put it on the back burner.

At any rate, I go in for an MRI Monday and it’s mostly a forgone conclusion at this point that I’ll need rotator…[Read more]

Good discussion. Switchback sums up my feelings really well. And those lines! Holy shit dude I love loooooong boring lines like that.

In summary here is my thirty one day season in no particular order.
    9 BCC, 7 Foothills, 6 Uintas, 5 West Desert, 2 MillCreek, 1 Cedar Breaks, 1 Current Creek

I’ll probably get a few more turns in, but I’m more…[Read more]

    Personally it’s a mix of…
    1.Multiple injuries
2.Lack of home internet/difficulty of posting
    3.Too much nerd/science spray, not enough art/joy
4.Burnt out on the marketing angle permeating social media and Internet in general, lots of branding little substance.
5.Snurfing is just one of many interests

Damn you – I should have heeded your warning, now my three week long migraine is back 😉

That bottom part of Nebo looks super fun, not sure about the rest. But then I’m the guy who cross country snowboards ten miles into the Uintas and ten miles out without ever transitioning and calls it an epic day 🙂

I’m just stoked that your stoked,…[Read more]

You guys are crazy with your pointy aluminum tools, but I’m glad you are having fun doing it 😉
I’ve been sick since last weekend, but managed to get out a couple days with the holiday weekend.
Saturday I furthered my exploration of the Uintas. The day was beautiful (clean air), but the snow was horrendous. Still a good long walk in the…[Read more]

Wow, that’s a good zone. I’ll bet there are ten car loads of dork’s down there today wallowing in the mank . Glad you guys got it in great conditions, looks really fun.

Back to the Uintas on Saturday. No action shots, just scenic interpretations of lapping low angle trees in good snow. Looking forward to camping at this zone this spring.

As always, great action pic’s Dave

This past storm was pretty devastating at mid-elevation. Got out briefly on Saturday, but storm riding has never been my thing. Nothing has changed, it was miserable and soul crushingly dour to put it mildly.

Sunday I headed up to Mirror Lake highway. Broke trail for about ten miles in total, both north and…[Read more]
