The 2nd Annual Echo Lakes Splitfest presented by Voile is being held this weekend at Strawberry Lodge. Snow is in the forecast and all proceeds go to the Sierra Avalanche Center. 

Kyle Miller is hitting the road for a brief visit to Northern California to screen FreeRider, Crest Pictures' latest documentary about the splitboard mountaineer, and to share some personal insight on setting and accomplishing goals, overcoming adversity, and riding for pure adventure.

The 2nd Annual Canuck Splitfest presented by Prior was a huge success raising over $4,500 for the  Canadian Avalanche Foundation. Read organizer Wade Galloway's (aka treepilot on our forum) report from the event. 

Seattle splitters come out for an evening of stoke and to help support your local avalanche center, the NWAC. Crest Pictures will be showing FreeRider featuring splitter Kyle Miller and KGB Productions will be showing their film Triumph.  

Colorado splitters get out and show your support at the 7th Annual Backcountry Film Festival. Films include Solitaire by Sweetgrass Productions, Breaking Trail by Powderwhores, and Chalk and Ski by Purple Orange. The dates are 1/26 in Denver, 1/29-30 in Winter Park. Proceeds help support local avalanche forecasting and education.

The 2nd Annual Canuck Splitfest presented by Prior is quickly approaching and only a week away. Conditions have been grim this season across most of North America but fortunately for splitters the snow has been piling up nicely at Rogers Pass.

The Divided Sky, our favorite apres shred spot in South Lake Tahoe is hosting a Benefit Party to help raise funds for the Sierra Avalanche Center. Come out to enjoy food, drinks, and live music while helping to support the folks that work hard to keep us safe in the backcountry.
